We currently have openings for an Engineering Supervisor. This is an advanced, hands-on position which is part of our Operations Engineering team that is responsible for managing our 24x7x365 US-based Network Operations Center (NOC).  At Alliant, no two days are alike.  This role works on various projects managing other network engineers, while monitoring, managing and administrating network infrastructures in support of our IT Infrastructure Utility model. 

In this position, you will monitor the performance and status of client networks and systems. The Engineering Supervisor provides escalated technical support and serves as primary contact for clients’ network issues. You will utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose problems and factors that affect network and system performance, as well as perform complex installations, configurations and troubleshooting. The Engineering Supervisor needs to identify technical problems, errors, and misconfigurations, then advise our clients of status updates and propose problem resolutions and recommendations for changes. This position oversees the technical personnel in the NOC to ensure responsiveness and adequate staffing levels to support client needs.

The ideal Engineering Supervisor has:

  • Passion for learning about new technologies.

  • MS in Engineering, Telecommunication Networks or related fields.

  • One year of experience working at a NOC environment providing network engineering, system integration, configuration, network administration, and troubleshooting support.

  • Strong team player attitude.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
