Managed Firewall & VPN Service

AMS Managed Firewall & VPN service provides Clients with a mechanism to assure their production Cisco firewalls, VPNs and network infrastructure are continually maintained and configured to provide maximum network security.  AMS delivers this service for customers who recognize that proper management of network infrastructure is crucial to overall network security, and for whom VPN’s provide critical production connectivity between sites.  AMS Managed Firewall & VPN service is available for network devices covered by AMS Performance Monitoring and Engineering Response.  These services provide device monitoring, engineering response, change management, and release management for each device so that they continue to perform optimally to meet the evolving needs of the business.  With RMM and ER, AMS Managed Firewall & VPN Service includes the following:  

  • Change Management – Request processing from authorized customer representative.  Provisioning of routine configuration changes for ongoing support of the device (i.e.: Access Control Lists, Rules, Pinholes, DMZ, Port Blocking, etc.).
  • Backup and Recovery - Device configuration storage and maintenance over time with the ability to revert to prior configurations when needed.
  • TAC Escalation – Ability to communicate with Cisco technical support if needed.
  • Security Operations Center (SOC) – Professionals trained and experienced in managing and operating network security devices.
  • 24x7x365 RMM Interface – Regular status polling by the AMS NPM which sends alerts to the SOC, which is always staffed and ready to provide remote response.

RMA Management – For devices under Cisco maintenance contracts, communication with vendor and coordination of device replacement, including onsite dispatch as needed.
