SmoothIP Cisco UC Administration and End-User Support

SmoothIP Administration is an add-on service to AMS’s Engineering Response service.  With SmoothIP, AMS provides total Cisco US telephony support, including Vendor Management interface to Cisco, Invoiced Break/Fix for hardware failures, Fault Management and monitoring as described under AMS RMM and ER, and ongoing user support for all users of a Cisco IPT or Unified Communications platform.

Severity 1 and Severity 2 incidents related to telephony are covered as additional services within the Engineering Response service.  SmoothIP Administration is intended to provide unlimited support for the following type of Telecommunications service cases:

  • Severity 3 (S3) – Customer requires a password or login reset. 
  • Severity 4 (S4) - Customer requires information on or configuration assistance with the customer’s communications platform related systems when there is little or no effect on the Customer’s operations.

SmoothIP - Cisco UC AdministrationSmoothIP Admin provides client access to experienced engineering resources when the communications platform-related moves, adds, changes/deletes (MACDs) are necessary.  SmoothIP Admin services are intended to address common system administration tasks performed on a telecommunications server or PBX, including:

  • Resetting Passwords
  • Providing Extensions
  • Issuing and Managing Phones
  • Managing User and Global directory
  • Managing Extension mobility users and extension
  • Troubleshooting phone issues for a particular User or extension
  • Resolving problems with the voicemail system
  • Adding and deleting Voicemail mail accounts
