Alliant Technologies announces Cisco ROST as part of its Smooth IPT Telephony Services Portfolio

Morristown, NJ, December 16, 2005: Alliant Technologies has announced the integration of Cisco Remote Operation Services (ROS) within its Smooth IP Telephony Services suite. Alliant, a Cisco Gold Certified Partner, is one of a limited group of Cisco partners qualified and certified to sell, implement and support Cisco's robust set of post-implementation services for Cisco's industry-leading IP communications equipment.

The Cisco ROS staff and its resources will supply important remote infrastructure monitoring and incident management functions, which will augment Alliant's skills in design, implementation, advanced troubleshooting, and solution optimization. This Systems Integrator Agreement joins two best-in-class components - Alliant IPT design and integration services with Cisco ROS monitoring and management services - providing clients with a comprehensive "Day 2" support model for their IPT infrastructure.

Alliant has been Cisco IP Communications certified since 2001, and has implemented thousands of IP handsets for clients across the northeast. Alliant specializes in custom designs to meet enterprise requirements, including such options as video teleconferencing, unified messaging, XML apps delivered to the IP handset, IPCC Express, voice-over-VPN integration, overhead paging, and call detail reporting.
