Named a Cisco Systems' Advanced Technology Partner for MDS Fabric Switching
Morristown, NJ – October 29, 2007 – Alliant Technologies is now one of six partners across the US authorized to design and install Cisco’s line of Fabric Switches. Cisco’s Multilayer Directors and Fabric Switches, the MDS Fabric Switching product line, provide a Fibre Channel (FC) connection between a customer’s servers and their storage array. The Advanced Technology Partner (ATP) designation is a by-invitation-only program, presented to Partners who fulfill stringent technical training requirements. MDS Fabric Switches are part of Cisco’s Data Center product portfolio and also complement Alliant’s Virtualization and Consolidation Solutions. Alliant’s solutions reduce data center operational costs through Server Virtualization, Network Optimization and Storage Consolidation.
This is Alliant’s second ATP, after the ATP for Rich Media, which covers Cisco’s MeetingPlace products for voice, video and web conferencing. In addition, Alliant Technologies now maintains four Cisco Advanced Specializations: Advanced Wireless, Advanced Security, Advanced Unified Communications, and Advanced Routing & Switching.
Alliant has also been awarded Cisco’s “Customer Satisfaction Excellence” award for two years running, for maintaining exceptionally high scores on customer satisfaction surveys.
