Account Manager - New York/New Jersey
The Account Manager position is territory based, and we currently
have openings for New Jersey and New York in our Morristown office,
covering territories in Westchester county, Manhattan and
Somerset/Hunterdon counties.
You must be dynamic, motivated and have at least 3 years background in
selling technology solutions, services and products.
This challenging position includes:
- Establishing new client relationships through cold calling and
networking;
- Selling telecommunications services, circuits, and hosting,
consultative solution sales;
- Channel sales (Cisco, HP, Compaq, Microsoft);
- Developing and maintaining long-term relationships within a
diverse account base
You must be comfortable selling to all levels of corporate
personnel. This is much more than a sales role: you will be joining a
team of top technologists and strategists. A solid background in
technical sales is necessary.
Specific skills required are:
- Aggressive, sales oriented attitude.
- Drive to win new business.
- Excellent cold calling and prospecting techniques.
- Excellent sales skills: working existing contacts, qualifying,
presenting and closing.
- Solid knowledge of and/or background in data and
telecommunications sales.
- Understanding of basic technology concepts: networking, DSL,
VPNs, routers, T1s, WANs, etc.
- Previous training and/or certifications in technical sales a
plus.
- Previous proven experience in managing mid sized to Fortune
1000 accounts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience selling consultative solutions a plus.
- Motivated, disciplined and self-directed.
